People that live in this district vote from a list of candidates to choose a Mayor that is best for their district.This is called Electoral Process.All cities and Municipal Districts are divided into geographic areas called wards. Wards means number of people in an area.Calgary has 14 wards and 14 councilors. There are the same amount of councilors as wards because there is 1 councilor for each ward.If somebody resigns or passes away, a by-election is held for someone to fill in that place. |
